Hello all, I hope this is the right area to post this. Let me start off by saying I grew up hanging around my father's body shops and sprayed cars in the 70's and early 80's as a kid. So much has changed with paint it is mind boggling, but I sure have a huge respect for the artists I see on here.
I decided to go with more of a "RETRO" look for my bike. The previous owner had some poor paint work done to it and it needed a facelift for Daytona this year.
My idea was to put SCALLOPS on the bike like the old salt flat racers.
I used Omni BC/CC 1964 Buick Silver cloud with Inferno red for my scallops with a flatting agent for the topcoat of clear. My equipment consisted of my garage a 22 gallon portable compressor and a $14 gravity feed touch up gun from Harbor Freight.
Anyone know how I can upload the rest of the pics? Post says I reached my quota.
