I know I saw a post on this, but couldn't find it.

Anyone, know where you can get this anniversary silver (I believe they call it Sterling Silver) for the H-D bikes?

Do they make it in a regular bc/cc?

I aksed three different places down here, and got three different answers.

One of them said the H-D discontinued it because they were having problems with it.

Thanks...

I have Harley mixing codes in my paint system in the shop,I can look and see if that particular color is there if you need me to.

My system is Akzo Nobel, their Lesonal line to be exact and here is the formula for a pint they give for 03 Sterling Silver. You may be able to get it crossed over if need be.

95M------------895.8
22 -------------899.9
83 -------------904.3
45 -------------915.4
23 -------------951.7

I was wondering, would the silver used on the new Harley Davidson F150's be the same as what's on the anniversary bikes?

Thanks for the info crashfixer! At least I do know it can be made. I'll have to see if I can find someone that can mix that on this side of the bay

Kev,
I think the Ford silver, is just a basic silver.I saw three of them listed for 2004, and all were a metallic type color. I did find some accent colors that were close though
The H-D anniversary silver has like a cleared over metal look to it.

Anyone else add to this thread?

Scott, my paint jobber said they matched to the H-D anniversary silver with a VW silver. I haven't seen the finished product but it was used to blend a repair on a front fender. They said it was a perfect match. I'll try to get the VW paint code. I don't see H-D using a VW match since they made such a big deal out of the silver, but you never know. TC

Thanks TC,
I'll have to check that out. I found a couple "accent" colors which have the *very* fine metalllic, which I will check out as well.

Couldn't find a Lesonal dealer that was local

Thanks again to all... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

If you can not find a shop/dealer that uses Lesonal, try to find one that uses Sikkens.Sikkens is the top of the line Akzo paint but Lesonal is just a toned downed version.Sikkens should have everything Lesonal does.

I remember the VW thing TC said now that he said that.I've tried to find it in the Touchmix system and there's no formula, then the rep was absolutely no help saying it's Harley only and they can't get it right in the aftermarket paint. Why they can't make factory-pacs is beyond me,they have the stuff we can't get.Harley does sell Urethane batches of their paint to shops from what the '04 Harley catalog says but it's the first I've known them to do it.I haven't investigated it but if you know a good dealership that knows something you might want to try a call there.I haven't heard a thing bad about Fletcher's yet but I've never been there or dealt with them.Good luck man,you know the Prophet sucks.
