The paint job on #292 bike is almost exactly what I am looking to paint on mine. Can you tell me the paint colors you used and the order they were layed down for that gorgous skin. Thanks /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bigokay.gif

Not at all.The problem is usually Scott is the one to answer these since he did the work and he's been real buisy lately. He gives a description of the job on the page in his site but not always the exact color name or brand-he uses HOK or PPG's Global line.

OK,I checked it out.The cobalt blue base and candy is HOK and the aluminum/white pearl is his own personal concoction, again I would say it's HOK pearls but not necessarily.

how do you put colbalt blue flames on a colbalt blue base?

I am super ignorant to this stuff, but it would seem the flames would just blend right in with the same color base....how do you do this......is there somthing blended in with the blue used for the flames? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crap.gif

I'm relying on a few day old memory /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif but there's a cobalt base and a cobalt candy and I'm sure this is what was done, the main color is base and the candy was used for the flames.I think there was a second set of flames done on top in white pearl but not sure and it's a moot point in this post.It very well could have been done as LS said where the flames were done with a few extra coats of the candy to make them darker.
