A Big Thank You

I just finished my first bike (mine). I wanted to say thanks to all of you on the forum that helped me. There were a lot although I would like to single a few out- Taz, Brian and Hoss. I don't mean to slight anyone I didn't mention but these guys were instrumental in the process. This forum gave me the knowledge and confidence to take on my first bike. To be honest, I would have prefered my first would have been 2 fenders and a tank as opposed to a full bagger. ( I still have to paint the trunk)

I know you can't tell much from photos but it came out pretty good. I learned a tremendous amount.
My next gig is an '82 Lowrider.

Thanks to all.

well you gotter done and it looks very very nice. I also like the color and the way you have the break line of the color running done the length of the bike. This gives the illusion of the bike being longer. Nice execution, great color and a super design layout. Way to go Vettra ya did great. Gotta give you lots of credit for doing a bagger for your first bike. A big job and lots of pieces. Now, what about the bus, plus the low rider, your going to be a busy boy.
Brian.

Thanks- As I said, I learned quite a bit. Not only in painting but finishing and buffing.

With the Primer, metallic base, candy, separating silver graphic and black- I feel like I painted it 6 times. In hind sight for my first bike and so many compenents, (17) I think, I might have been better of using a tangerine pearl.

As for buffing- I was in my last stage (foam pad and glaze), while on the front fender I burned right through my paint. Luckily it was in the black section.

Overall I am happy with it and ready for my next one.

THX,
C
