Howdy again kids.
While talking with a buddy about painting a spare tank I have, he sugguested I try a 1 shot DCC type paint. He claimed that it looked close to a bc/cc finish. But the only 1 shot paints I have ever used has been the old thick enamel from Murrays. So I tend to think he's blowing sunshine up my butt. Do you guys have any opinions on this type of paint?

If you can spray the hi solids clears you can spray the DCC which is PPGs single stage in the Concept line along with the bases and clears. You wont get any depth out of metalics and pearls so I'd stick to the solid colors. After it's cured you can scuff it and base out and clear it grafix if you like.I don't think you can clear down the singlestage color anymore since they changed the amount of hardner used in the singlestage but I'm not positive about that.
