I really like this green.

Im going to be shooting flames on my truck and although Ive shot Kandies before I dont think Im good enough to shoot it over a large area. I think this lime green is HOK UK02 my question is would the KBC kandy work out ok? I know its more like a base and it more user friendly but will I be able to get the same kind of color with it? When using the KBC kandy do you still lay down a glamor base first? If so what base would I need to get this color? Gold? Thanks!

If you go with a KBC: organic green, try it over a straight yellow base like lemon yellow. The color of the base affects the color of the KBC. Darker the base, darker the resulting green, same goes with the lighter colors.

Good luck,

I'm in the same boat. I'm planning to paint my whole mustang with a kandy and the idea of using HOK UK kandies over an entire car doesn't thrill me. I'm thinking about using the KBC kandy because it is a lot more forgiving. To anyonw who has used the KBC kandies how does the look of the KBC comapre to the UK kandies?

Thanks for the replies guys, Ive shot the KBC before but only through a airbrush on a small area. The color still looked really nice but I didnt know if the color was the same as the reg. kandy. I guess Ill have to fork out 30.00 and see what happens. Do you guys think yellow was sprayed first in the pic or another color?

You'll get a richer depth out of the UK candies but the basecoats look great and are easier to apply.Either way there's no paneling to it,you walk from end to end with it to avoid buildup on overlapping panels.Only way to tell is do it and be able to walk a long distance with a steady hand.

I agree with rex on the UK looking richer but the KBC's look good in their on right. To one that has not sprayed the UK's very much I will suggest turning the throttle way back on your gun and over reducing on the first several coats and give her a try.Good luck!
