after painting flames

After spraying the flames, they are higher than the paint I sprayed over .What do I need to do to make them not stand out ?

Put a few coats of clear over it and sand it flat.Then you can reclear or buff it depending what you sand it with and how much clear you put on.

Do I need to clear the entire area or just the flames?

Thanks for the info Im building a 27T roadster and trying to
do all the work myself from ground up.

I've been told you have to reclear the entire panel...no spotting in.
