Airbrush/Clearcoat question

I'm a bit of a newbie at this stuff, so please bear with me. I have a buddy that does airbrush artwork for magazines and he's agreed to help me paint my tank/fenders. I'm not sure of this, but I would like clearcoat over his stuff. I called a few auto painters and was told that their clearcoat would "cloud" over the airbrushing. I was wondering if this was true, and if I need to take it to a custom shop to get it done.

Sounds weird. If your buddy uses good paint there won't be a problem. The best thing to do is put cown a light coat of intercoat (or basecoat) clear to protect the work and then scuff it up after it dries and you're ready to clear the whole thing.

The only time I have a clouding problem is when it's humid. What clear is the guy using?

I would definately clear over the work.
Don't see any reason why would cloud up.
You should be all right.
