Hi everyone, I'm new to the custom paint forum and am looking for some professional advice. Is it possible to add airbrush graphics to a wrapped vehicle that already has graphics ( logo and flames) on it? Can you clear coat over a wrap?
Thanks Chris
I don't know anyone that's done it. I don't see why you couldn't.
I guess if you can airbrush a motorcycle drive belt, you can airbrush a wrap.
Really, you can airbrush and clear over anything! I think the main question would be, will it last?
Thanks for the reply Taz - I was hoping somebody had done this before-- needed to pick someone's brain! (prepping and cleaning/de-greasing the wrap)
Chris
I wouldn't think you'd have to degrease a new wrap. I would think you would just use a cleaner on it. Possibly spray a light coat of adhesion promoter in the area you will be spraying.
Just a guess though.
This is not a "new" wrap - it's on a race car - very good condition though. It has the previous owner's name on the side with some tru-fire flame. New owner wants new logo over name and blend in some flames.
