Alternatives for ghost flames...

I'm wanting to do some ghost flames with a Ford SVT blue over a metallic silver base. I'm using PPG Omni MBC paints. I'm using these colors because I have the paint leftover from another job.
I went to the paint store to get some blending clear, but PPG doesn't make any for the omni line. I can't afford to buy all new paint for one of the higher lines. I tried mixing some of the pearl blue with the silver color, but that came out a revolting baby blue. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I try mixing the Deltron DBC blending clear with the Omni MBC paint?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Done it before. When I first started painting I used Omni for a number of reasons....cost mainly. You should have no problems using DBC 500 with the MBC. Of course they say not to mix the two systems, Lets just say that from my experience I have had no problems. One thing though, I would use the DBC reducer, not the MR.

I even use the DBC with my HOK KK.
