Long story shorten down. I painted my first car back in 08(my father and my projectcar he past away before ever put together) so it's been sittin. Now ti has over spray from other stuf scuff marks etc. So i know i have to respray it. The color is Spector grey MET. I looking at doing it in a 2tone split like the RS camaro's from 72-76. My car is an 85 TA. So question is would this look alright also which color do i use. I was thinking Magnetic red met with a med gold trim line. Kinda new too doing splits.

By the way if it matter the car is painted with 2 coats epoxy-3 coats feather fill-1coat sealer- 4 coats base- 4 coats clear.

Magnetic Red would look fine. You'll probably want to do the bottom color first as this would be easier to mask up for the second color.
Mask up the first color good. Doing 'blow' throughs are a bear to spot in
I think a silver stripe would look better, but that's my own opinion.

Just sand it down real good and shoot it.

With the clearcoats already applied you could probably just polish out the existing paint to give you a nice finish. If you want to change the colors or design then the choices are endless.
