Kandy help !!
If I want to do some art work over my HOK kandy, how do I protect it. Do I shoot it with SG-100 like I would a base paint or do I klear and then scuff and apply? In other words will a shimrin base directly applied to my 2k kandy hurt it?
Thanks,

UK needs to be cleared after flashing and the candy basecoat I THINK will work with a coat of SG100 over it.

SG-100 is designed for that purpose. After shooting your base and it cures, hit it with the SG-100 to protect it and then you can tape out or paint your mural or whatever once the Intercoat clear has set up.

airartist,
Thanks, but I'm not talking about putting it on my basecoat, I'm talking about putting it on top of my kandy...big difference. If using it over your basecoat, it's better shot as soon as your base flashes instead of waiting for it to cure.
I'll probably try the clear and scuff.
Thanks,

If you have bare (last coat of) UK candy, the one with hardner,it must be cleared with top clear.BUT,if you didn't clear it with a straight coat of clear after it flashed like you were putting on another coat of candy check the tech sheet for what to do,it needs to dry so long before you can scuff and clear it or it'll whrinkle on you.Once that's done you can sand it and continue with your grafix.
