What temperature would you bake a fresh paint job at and how long would you bake it out? The guy whose bike I am painting, wants to take his girl for a ride about a week after I am going to done, and she rides on a suction cup phantom pad stuck to the rear fender. Don't know if this will move the clear around the suction cups. Thanks Again! Allen

You need to check the requirements of your paintline.PPGs Concept line needs 140 degrees for 20-40 minutes depending what clear you use. That 140 is the surface temp of the part and it's nothing to have to set the temp higher.I run my booth at 160 to get that temp but I usually only bake them for 20 minutes. It doesn't hurt to underbake them a little and that gets it done enough to pull out and let it finish curing over in the shop so I can get something else in the booth.

I used HOK for all the painting except the clear. I used dupont chroma clear. I will try to find something on it. The job turned out pretty good for my second paint job. Will post some pics as soon as I get some put on the net. Thanks for the info. Allen
