basecoat

I am painting a set of harley tin useing house of kolor paint . How long can the basecoat sit until you clearcoat it? I am planing on some extensive graphics that might take a few days or even a week, Is that ok to wait that long to clear the final project? appreciate any advice. Thanks John

I would expect it to be fine. Just put down a coat of SG100 Intercoat clear to level out your grafix and the clear should stick fine.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I've waited weeks before though.
