Basic, (dumb) question....

What is the difference in say, using a 1.3mm tip or, a 1.8mm choked back back with the paint screw? I guess the answer is in the forum somewhere
just don't know how to find it. Probaly in spraypainting 0.5:0.5.......

Good question, I've used both. I would say the 1.8 with the fluid nozzle in, just doesn't quite have the good atomization the 1.3 does at the fluid nozzle out. If you are good, you should be able to work the with the 1.8 though, but it won't be easy.

Thanks again Taz.
And, maybe conversely, if you are spraying large areas & want volume laying down of paint, with the paint screw open too far on the 1.3mm, you would get better atomization with the 1.8 with the paint screw at correct spraying position?
Meaning each tip size should atomize correctly but just giving you more or less paint paint?
But perhaps, for some paint, better atomization is achieved with a larger tip size?
And then there is thinners! OMG!
Sorry guys. Thinking aloud here.
