Blacking out an engine

Hi, new to the board here,

But was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for blacking out an engine?

My '96 has some removable chrome, and is an aluminum case.

I'm looking for a wrinkle finish on the block, blacked out jugs, and sanded / polished fin edges.

Any recommendations, links, or advice?
Besides checking into the local assylum!

I bought that high temp wrinkle black in a rattle can at lowes and covered the entire motor including the heads .While it's wet wipe off the fins with a wet sponge.Mine looks great and has no chip or peeling ,( except where I've slipped with the screwdriver a few times)
