Blending Color Shift Paint?

Working on my first custom paint job. I masked off my scallops and sprayed them with a color-shifting lacquer paint from ALSA, then clear coated, sanded and polished and it looked fantastic. I then laid out some 1/4" tape to pinstripe the edges between the colors. All was good until I removed the tape and in one spot about 1-1/2" long x 1/4", it lifted the color-shifting paint to the base primer. :sillyme:

Is there anyway to repair this damage without sanding the whole thing down and starting over?

Thanks.

If you're gonna have to do it over you might as well have a go at blending it. At least that way you cans see what it's like to blend, maybe you'll pull it off but if not you were gonna have to redo it anyway.

I agree, I've had this happen, but within a flame job, where the color shift paint peels away from the pinstripe edge.
Sounds like what you'll have to do is prep the complete panel for reclear.
Feather out the peeling area, then redo the pinstripe. Then mask that up, blend out the black. Then blend the color shift. Then recelar the complete panel.
