Blending colors on replacement panels

Is it always nessessary to blend the paint when putting on new panels on a car or do some colors match?Gotta replace the bumper cover and a fender on an 01 durango and was wondering if I'll have to blend into the hood and door.thanks,Jim

Kind of depends on the color and paint system used.Some colrs are a pretty good match in one system but not another,and then you get into variations of the color.The paint store should have a color deck of the variants,and also the computer to read a color and 'match' it.These still usually don't come out right and should be blended though.
