i like the way blue curves but i allwyas have a problem with the glue sticking on my base is there anything i can do about this intill then ill stick with 1/8 green

Actually, I think the blue has a better glue then the green.
Possibly the reason the tape is not sticking that good is either your surface is not completely clean or your are "pulling" or "stretching" the tape too much.
Check these out and see if it helps your situation.

Hello,
The only residue that I have had the blue tape leave, I was able to wipe it off with a pre-cleaner before spraying.
I was also able to see the where that tape actually was (maybe this is the residue you were talking about)after the first coat of clear, but this goes away after the second and third coats. You are also not able to see this through the clear.
