Several flame jobs here list the Ghost flames as blue pearl over black. With BC 25 base what would you mix for the blue pearl ghost flames? The chart shows a blue pearl, but says it is shot over white. Is there a way to shoot it directly on the BC 25? Sorry I am new to this.

2 ways that i know of Braz,Either mix dry pearl or pearl paste (HOK) in intercoat clear or I think Scott uses a pearl toner(PPG).Either way,do some test panels,you won't need much for a ghost effect,blue really shows up over black.Don't forget to top coat with straight clear.

Also try HOK's violet pearl. It shows up as a dark blue when applied over black.

Well those flames look nice, but ya they sure don't look blue. What namebrand pearl did you use. I'v used the HoK violet for gost flames over a stock black mustang. I was going to use blue pearl but after checking out the chip book I saw that violet over BC25 looked like a darker blue. So whent with that instead. The end result was dark blue gost flames.
How much of the pearl did you mix in the clear?

i have some dupont blue pearl that i'm gonna spray over the factory black on my truck. haven't done it yet so don't know how it'll turn out

I knew they were violet and chose that over the blue but,after all was said and done,I think I would of liked the blue better..The brand was SEM aerolac pearls.They were free from my paint guy.Just thought it was kinda weird that HOK violet would come out blue.I only used the very tip of a teaspoon in a gun full.I also tested a mix of blue and violet,it came out pretty cool,you could see both colors in the sun light.

Is this HOK violet pearl over black ??? It doesn't look blue to me....Is it supposed to look blue???? Hope not /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif

No,It's violet pearl,It's an off brand,SEM is the name.HOK blue comes out blue!Don't worry.

I'm colorblind, but had to throw in my two cents:

I love the layout of the flames!!! The "closesness" with only the fineline tape between the sets are a new look to me and it is awesome
