I want to urethane clear over rattle can primer, will it take?

yep. as long as it's a enamel. you will need to scuff the rattle can paint before you clear. if it's a metalic us 1000 grit or finer. if it's black or dark 800 will work. wet sand them degrease them tack cloth them and shoot!!

attached was my first ever paint job. i rattle caned these badly laid out flames w/ duplicolor colorshift paint. bling bling /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif

primer's probably not enamel, but you should be ok. i stoped reading at rattle can and didn't see the primer part.

get a scrap piece of something, shoot it w/ your primer and then clear it. see what happens? test pannel ya know.
