Brushed aluminum/stainless effect.

Hi,
looking for ideas as to what paint, or what technique can be used to get a brushed stainless or aluminum effect?

In the instructions for the MirraChrome I bought, it says that if you were to sand the black base before applying the chrome, it gives a brushed effect.

I just bought the "ghost chrome" and they said to start with a black primer/basecoat and sand with 400/500 grit paper and that shoudl giv eme my brushed effect......just have to work out how to do the edges of the falmes to make them appear 'raised' now.

I was at coast air brush yesterday and saw a dvd that showed how to use the Mirra Chrome and GhostMirra Chrome, which could give you the effect your looking for. They had some really cool examples of a brushed aluminum effect hanging on display. If you don't live in southern california, try their website.
