Buffing time?

I just finished my first job and I am getting ready to buff it and I want to make sure I am doing it right. How soon should I buff it. I did a black base with red metalflake flames(HOK flake suspended in clear) with 4 coats of clear over everything. The fenders are just black with 4 coats of clear, no flames. I am going to use Race Glaze leveling compound after I sand with 2000 paper. How much time should I allow after I applied the last clear before I buff? Any suggestions on technique or procedures are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check out your tech sheet on the clear, or see if it is written on the can. It should tell you when you can start.
