Burn coat

How many of you do a "burn coat" on your clear (spraying straight reducer to flatten and take out orange peel)? Is there a "best way" to do this, or what is your procedure? Thanks, Al

If you have the clear mixed right and a decent gun thats set up right I wouldn't think you'ld have to do this.

If the orange peel really sucks just wetsand with 600 and reclear.

Heard it was an "ol painters trick" to speed up the sanding and buffing stages. Al

Nah...not really, Osh is right, you need to really spray it on as intended. Sometimes if you over-reduce the clear, this will 'flatten' the clear, as in gloss. Guess you could buff it back out though?!
