So a buddy of mine bought a used VW to be his daily driver and when he went to pick it up it had a nice coat of wax on the roof. This car came from georgia and i am sure it got baked on pretty good.

What can I tell him to use to get this stuff off and not have to reshoot it for him. Also..if I have to go that route would you suggest scuffing it and reclearing or should I be concerned with reactions due to the wax being baked into the previous clear??

Never dealt with this before as most normal people take the wax off.

thanks.

Hey BC, have you tried a wax and grease remover? It should work, but I would try it in a small spot that won't be seen just in case in has a reaction to the currant paint, which I don't think it will. Good Luck.
