Re: Can\'t find the 1/8" tape

Any Napa or Norwood Auto Parts stores carry Blue fine-line tape, about 6 bucks for the 1/8". One shot can be found at most art supply stores or any sign painting business could refer you to their supplier. As far as shooting it with an air brush....well, to each his own.

re: Garry #122...Concerning 1/8 inch flame tape....Napa a no go. Local paint store has a green 1/8" that is not very useful. Stretches thin and does not make the short radius orbs. I'm finding out on my practice pieces that the tape job is everything! Also...one shot paint..got a better paint in mind for airbrush on tanks?

I find that about any professional paint store carries the 3M blue 1/8" tape... but, you can also order it on line from a multitude of paint suppliers. I can run tiny circles with this stuff, its about the most fun part of the paint job for me.

Re: Can\'t find the 1/8" tape

Hey guys,
I get my 3M plastic 1/8" tape from my local 'automobile' paint supply store.About $6.50 a roll although I understand some of us arent so lucky as to have a place nearby.
You can go to the coast airbrush website,I believe its at www.coastairbrush.com.I know for a fact they sell it,just click on the auto supply link. The kool thing is that they'll call you at home for your credit card info if thats your method of payment.
As far as paints are concerned,1 shot may have been common practice several decades ago,but as the airbrush has progressed so have the paint distribution houses.Look into createx 'auto'paint. It aint 1 shot but then who wants to spend more time on cleanup than on the actual job, right.
Good luck bud,
