They only made 974 Saleen's that year. Came factory as you see it. 18x10, supercharged, intercooler. I don't like the white.
Like to keep it original as long as possible

Thought about painting it the viper orange or the BASF beryllium color that came on a couple of the Saleens (maybe with a few small tribals on the hood), we'll see though. Something like the color below which shows the Beryllium color.

That is BASF paint. The color is called Beryllium. Anyone know the formula for this color or now any info on this color? I believe it is a tri-stage. Only the S-281e came that color. 425 HP.

Scott, the S281e may have been painted with a BASF pigment called Neozapon, this pigment looks similar to anodized aluminum and is available in a range of colours.

I did a search on google and did come up with a little more info.
BASF has a form you can fill out to request a sample...
so I ordered a gallon of it

just kidding. I did request a few ounces though.
