you need to make sure that their is enough contrast to pick up on the checkers. maybe do all of it in the carbon fiber, then mask off your checkers and then use white and do the skulls all over, take up the mask and you've got skully fiber things, then nail it w/ a candi color, ya. you could also pinstripe the edge of the checkers to break the area up even more.

good luck and post some pics when your finished!

if you paint the whole thing w/ the carbon fiber, then tape your checkers. that'll leave some area still carbon fiber. in the areas that you want to paint white, just paint the skulls w/ white over the carbon fiber. the skulls will be the white in the checkered areas. i scribbled something out to show you. the white scribbles represent the white of the skulls.

you don't, you just pray to the dirt gods that it won't go in a noticeable area. if it really bothers you , you need to scuff and reshoot. wet the floor and spray yourself down w/ an airhose.

i like pinstripes so i'd come up w/ a design to cover the area.

if you try to sand and buff, it will gloss the area from flat to satin, and you'll still probably see the spot anyway

hey, got bad news. The "flat" that sprayed stayed glossy so the shop is replacing because they mixed it wrong. But they didn't refund primer, hardener and reducer.

My question is can i just scuff it and reshoot? Or use bulldog adhesion then paint?

how many coats of paint is on it? how thick did you apply each coat?

if it's too thick you'll need to get rid of some coats so that it'll last for ya and not crack down the road.

so w/ both paint jobs you have 4 wet coats?

you should be fine, just sand it down w/ some 600 grit and re shoot.
