CJ-7 Mid.Dark Blue w/Orange Ghost Flames?

I just painted my CJ-7 a mid.Dark Blue (not to dark) In a Single Stage Urethane. Now I want to do some flames in a brigt orange or ghost flames in a orange. Can i do them in a single stage or do i have to clear the whole thing now??

if doing a ghost flame you really shoud clear the panels being flamed. solid flames you might get away with not clearing ,but you will get a tape edge which might start chipping off in the future. you best bet is to clear flamed panels either way if you really want it to last.
