Clear coating over Aluminum

Not sure if I should have put this in a different section or what, but here goes. I tried searching for this and couldn't find a reply for my situation. I have some aluminum parts that I have give a satin look by sanding. I'd like to 'seal' them and was wondering if I could just put a coat of clear over them or do I need to get some kind of adhesion promoter too. I am just finishing up the tins on this job thought about just shooting these parts with when laying down my last coats of clear and don't feel like waiting another week for more paint supplies (this is kind of a last minute idea...) I am using HOK uc35 for my clear... any thoughts?? as always
TIA

I know this is an old post , but thought I would put this here incase someone is searching for the same info . The clear will not stick to aluminum for very long , even if it has been sanded to a satin finish . This product is great for keeping polished pieces from needing constant polishing :http://www.everbritecoatings.com/index2.html

I'll have to check that out as well. The trim on the sides of my truck are not clearcoated. Have to pretty much polish them every 2 weeks or so.
Thanks

I have never used it, but Zoops makes a sealer for bare aluminum that is supposed to prevent oxidation.

And I shot clear coat over the engine plate on my racecar, it held up for years......
