clear over powdercoat

so, i finally have my first true costumer, but want to know if i should even go through with it. he is getting his parts powdercoated. he wants me to do a celtic knot and boondock saints cross on it and clear it.

can this be done?? having the stencil cut out on a plotter with oramask or some other solvent resistent mask.

Sure, it can be done, but he's defeating the purpose of getting it powedercoated. Once you add graphics and clear, it would no longer be powedercoated or have the durability of powdercoating.

Sell 'em a paint job to!!!!!! Tell him it will come out the same anyway since the 'final' coat will be urethane clearcoat anyway.
Plus once you wetsand and buff the clear, it'll look better than any powdercoat job.

It can be done but it will take many procedures..
