Clear Primer

Sorry I missed this.I've used them a few times because that's what the people supplied and if the color is even remotely transparent it's fun getting it covered.I did my buddy's 68 Camaro in a mediun blue metallic Glasurit a few years ago and the bodywork took a pile of base to cover.I like to seal with the same color originally used but if the color is transparent I use a color that's close to aid in getting coverage, piling on base isn't good.I posted a topic with your name on it in General Discussion, check it out as fast as you can.

We have a PPG clear (it has a very slight amount of milky-ness to it) primer surfacer at work. It's sold only in a spray can, is UV cured, and is fully dry in 2 min. The only problem is you need the UV curing lamp or it won't dry at all (they cost about $1500). Your also limited to primimg only small spots, about 9"x9". It actually works very good, but has its limitations.

I saw that UV primer and it seems to work nice but like you say it's limited to small spots.Freaked me out when they said put all 3 coats on at once.
