hey, i was wondering if you lay down 2 coats of clear, then wetsand, what needs to be done to add more coats of clear? ive always noticed with wetsanding it leaves basically a dull spot.

As long as the whole thing is sanded just wipe it down again with prep solvent and reshoot it.

allrighty. now, after it dries, and i have noticed this in the sealers and on clear before i buff, it has streaks that you can see where i sanded at? whats causing this. i use a piece of stirring stick wrapped with paper, could this be why? thanks for the help.

Ah,now I see what you mean.Wetsanding can cause this.Those spots you see are most likely exagerated by the clear of spots you see after you sand it.When you grab a new piece and start over a spot where you sanded with a dull piece or if the paper is cutting good and you stop a stroke it leaves a mark you can see as soon as it's dried off.Sometimes they'll show in the clear,and the block or stick are great about causing it.If I need to block it I'll go back over it with a soft pad or just by hand to melt all this out.That's one of the reasons I like to DA it down and wet scuffy it to reclear.
