OK ,probably asking something that said a hundred times I would like to ask the following: I want to make a eagle on a helmet , first I want to basecoat it ( kandy or solid) using hok. Then I want to do the eagle , that would take me a nother day at least to make it realy good so the problem I heard is that you have to clear each layer in the next 24 48 hours ,or else the final clear wont uhmm not stick well( dont know the english word there i`m dutch )So the problems are with what do I seal of each layer? (using Hok)and do I realy have to clear within 48 hours / Can I do that myself not having a spray booth but normally letting this done by a carshop.Hope you can help me ,thx a lot

If you paint the base and let it sit, you should use HOK SG100 intercoat clear to seal the paint.
Once it's intercoated the 'window' is wide open
to paint anytime, you must first scuff the clear so it will have 'tooth' for the other coats of paintto stick to. Plus it will protect the base color if you have a mistake and need to sand a little.
If you spray a candy base you should use a catalyzed clear to protect the base becuase the candy can bleed through to the top colors, trust me it sucks. Then you should wet sand with 600 grit to give the clear some 'tooth' and continue from there.
And yes you can spray without a booth, just make sure there's plenty of ventilation. Trust me, many painters started in the garage.
Hope this helps you out,

OK thx so your saying that when using "normal" basecolors you should use the intercoat ,and when using Kany bases you shoud use a catalized clear ,but for both you should 600 wetsand every time.. So just one layer of that is ok ? and next what is that catalized clear is that from Hok too ? and the final clear is that the clear from hok too ? thx and greezt ,

The clear on both types of bases I would spray two coats. The catalyzed clear uses a catalyst to
cure the clear, vs. an air dry like SG100.
The catalyzed clear is the same I would use on top of the candy and for final clearing.
The manuf. of the clear you use I guess is what is available in your area.
I personally use DuPont 4700s on top of PPG, DuPont and HOK paints with NO problems.
