Coke can red

Hey everyone trying to figure some stuff out in my shop, I'm painting my 66 coupe mustang red and black two tone and I need help on the red effect, I want it to have that chrome look like a coke can, I'm sure you use candy some how but what base? Glossy black idk on this one?

The only way I would know of is to chrome it. Then apply the candy.
You'll need to spray a black basecoat clearcoat, wetsand and buff it, then spray the chrome effect paint. Let it sit overnight. Clearcoat it. Resand it, candy it. Then clear again.
This will give you the Christmas ornament effect.

There is probably another way, but this would be the only way that I know of.

On the coke can itself they say they use an acrylic enamel buts its probably over polished aluminum

I agree, anytime you see that type look it's over polished alum. I haven't had a mountain dew for awhile, but there green and red was over polished alum.
