Im looking for a tangerine color with a really good pearl in it. Im shooting this over a stock base color and I dont want to reclear the whole truck or else I would just throw a ice pearl in the clear. Any ideas? I thought maybe a HOK tangelo but I dont know. Thanks!

Not real sure on the results you are looking for. Tangelo is a bright orange similar to a traffic cone orange. The color will change a bit depending on the color base you spray it over.
What's the stock base color? To make Tangelo intense you may want to shoot it over a white, yellow, or even a base orange. If you spray any paint, it will need to be recleared over the entire area you painted.

explain your project a little better & what you are trying to achieve and we can help you a bit better in achieveing the results you want.

The truck is white but I was going to spray the flames orion silver first then the orange. Ive seen the color I want on custom choppers. Its a real bright orange with like a tint of lime green when you look at it from the side. Have you mixed the HOK kandy tangelo with a lime green ice pearl? Can this even be done or do you have to mix it up in the intercoat or clear first? The problem is I dont want to have to reclear the whole truck. Im just flaming the fenders and hood. so I cant just add the ice pearl to the clear and shoot the whole thing or else it wont match. Let me see if I cant search the web for the color Im looking for and post a link. Thanks for the help! again. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bigokay.gif

I just looked at a paint chip from PPG that "may" be what your looking for. It was in the Prizmatique line. Orange with a lime green tint.

I've also seen it on my friends new Softail Duece. It's a Met. Orange with a green tint when the lights right.

Maybe you can find out who supplies Harley with their paint and find the color that way.

In the artical linked to this post they say that they're using HoK Tangelo Pearl as the color for that truck. You can spay that and then get some limetime dry pearl and spray it over the orange mixed with SG-100. Put a thin coat or two of limetime green over the orange and at certain angels you'll get that green tint I think you're looking for.
