color question

I've sprayed it over silver/white marblizer and a gold met. base and in both instances it came out a great looking orange.
I only used 4 coats on top.
As far as over black, I don't know.

Has anyone used HOK "Tangerine" Kandy over black base and silver flames? Is it real orange over silver? What does it look like over black? I don't want a peach color!!

i would assume the silver would look great but i think over the black it would turn the black to a brownish color.

I'm going to try it over the black and see what it looks like.

If I don't like it, I can always respray...

I did a simple test this weekend on a piece of metal.

It doesn't look good. I don't have a picture of it and I can't really describe the color, but it does look sort of brown. It didn't look good out in the sun. You could see the tangerine tint of the Kandy on the black, but the overall color just didn't look right.

Sorry I don't have a picture, but I'm not sure a picture would have captured the color right anyway....

Don't know if this a help you any, but...

I did a couple of golf clubs for christmas using blacks, golds, and HOK tangerine. You can view the post here I also posted a couple photos.

Also...this bike is HOK tangerine over a gold base. Should be about the same with a silver base. You can see the bike here

Thanks for the comments and pics. I don't think tagerine over black is going to look good. I was trying for and candy orange flame over a black base. The orange over silver would look ok but I don't want the brown I'll get on the black areas.
