Hey Folks...I am not a painter, just really like flames. Came across this site while doing some research.

I am getting an aftermarket hood for my car (Which is what GM calls Millennium Yellow) and was wondering what you thought would be a good combo for this exterior color.

I have seen several Corvettes with flamed hoods, without painting the whole front end and they can actually be made to look pretty good.

My delema is what colors to have them (flames) done in to look fantastic.

How about some suggestions?

I THINK IF IT WERE ME I WOULD ALSO TAKE ADVANATAGE OF THE VETTES AIR DUCTS ON THE SIDES AND LAY SOME FLAMES OUT EXITING THE DUCTS. I THINK PURPLE TO ORANGE KAMELEON (COLOR CHANGING) OUTLINES WOULD LOOK AWESOME. WHEN I SAY OUTLINES I MEAN THE WHOLE AREA IS NOT FILLED IN. IT IS USUALLY DONE WITH AN AIRBRUSH, THE PAINTER TAPES THE FLAMES, MASKS AND THEN FOLLOWS THE PATTERN WITH AN AIR BRUSH TO PRODUCE A FADING 11/2" TO 2" FLAME OUTLINE. IF YOUR NOT IN A HURRY, I'M WORKING ON A 2001 HERITAGE SPRINGER THAT I'LL BE SPRAYING BLACK WITH PURPLE TO GREEN KAMELEON OUTLINES WITH MAGENTA TO GOLD TIPS. WHEN I FINISH I'LL TRY TO SHOW SOME PICS.
