colour code x600 bright red, match?

I'm trying to match to "2K X600 bright red" (PPG I believe) in acrylic lacquer but my paint shop says they can't do that. So does anyone know a cross-over code for the equivalent colour that they will be able to look up in their car paint database?
I wonder if "2K Bright red 22G" (Subaru 2004) is the same, although it looks a little darker perhaps.

Can they just take a small panel like a fuel door to a paint supplier, then they can do a color match on that panel? As long as they can get it very close, your body shop should be able to take it from there and get it close enough to blend.

Yes that would be possible, except what I am copying is a Squirrel helicopter that is located in another part of the country. Since I made the first post the paint distributor told me that x600 is the pure red tinter, so I should be able to purchase some of that from the local auto paint shop.
