Compressor size?

Getting ready to paint my tank and fenders.I have a 4 h.p. 12 gal. Is this capable of getting the job done or am I wasting my time?What limitations do I have as far as gun type (siphon,gravity,hvlp,etc.)?

use the gravity or better to use HVLP siphon will use up to much air for that comp. and will create alot of frustration for you
