compressor?

i have no clue on what kind of compressor to get. whats the gallon, hp, or cfm im looking for?

Depends what you're using it for. If you're using air tools as well as sparying the air tools will generally use more air. Also if you have more than 1 person using the air supply at the same time....... Check the air consumption of all the air tools you plan to use and find the one with the highest air consumption, then get a compressor that will supply more air than you need so it's not running 100% of the time. Don't bother looking for a certain hp compressor CFM Free Air Delivery is what your looking for, find the compressor with the right CFM and it will have what ever hp motor it needs.

ok sounds good. thank you very much man. now should i get a smaller compressor for the airbrushing i do? or just get a regulator for the airline? and what size of gallon tank? for general sanding, painting etc? its only me workin.

No point having 2 compressors, just adjust the reg to the pressure you want for the airbrush. As for tank size, bigger is always better. Once again find the output (CFM) you need, then checkout different brands with that output and buy the biggest you can afford.

The tank is a buffer. It lets you use more air than the compressor can deliver for a short time. If you get too small a tank you won't be able to use more than the compressors output for as long.
