Can any one please tell me what the typical charges are for clearing a 24" x 36" panel with their local paint shops. I approached a local shop to clear one of my panels for me since I don't have the facilities at home and was quoted about $80.00 for the clear and $100.00 for the labor. Seemed a little excessive to me since I can buy clear for about $26.00 a qt. It may have been that I used AutoAir water based paint on my illustration and the painter really did not want to clear it and be responsible for it. So if anyone in the greater Kansas City, MO or Overland Park, KS area would like to quote me a better price, or better yet, would like to offer me a facility to spray, I'd do it myself and pay em for the use.
