Hey guys, I need some help. I;m restoring a 1986 Kaw. Vulcan 750. I'm not totally new to painting but I have never used Marbling paints like Crazer. Does anyone know of a video showing plastic wrap process or even other mediums to get the special effects. Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Larry,

Sure, go to Youtube and do a search on "Ed Hubbs" and you will find a very good vid of him doing some marblizing (without the use of marblizer). There are two tricks that I can tell you on top of the excellent advice Mr. Hubbs gives - first is to use a very slow reducer in your cover coat and the second is to not be bashful about laying it on thick enough. In any event make sure you do a whole bunch of practicing on some test panels first. You can control the pattern size to a large extent with your technique with the plastic and some test-panel-practice will go a long way toward a pleasing result.

Here - I'll save you a search: YouTube - Airbrushing Wrinkle Effect

Hello everyone, great site. I am a noob to most of this; however I happen to give this technique a try this weekend on some valve covers. I plan on using the technique in the engine compartment for a little added pop, as well on the body to separate to different colors. Please take a look at the attached pictures and let me know what you think. I am going to add another coat of clear so I can cut and buff them; but the riphoto4.jpgdges from the plastic are not very noticeable. Please keep in mind that I am very new to painting in general, so I am open to all suggestions. Thanksphoto.jpg

House Of Kolor MBC series marbalizers are great, ready to spray and VERY user friendly. they offer 6-8 color options. GOOD LUCK
