I have used the AutoAir paints many times. For the most part I use PPG though. Yes, it is very possible to create beautiful paint jobs with AutoAir paints. From what I understand, the main difference between the two types is that when using actual Urathanes they chemically fuse with your clear coats whereas the water based paints don't. I don't even know if that's accurate info., but it does make sense. Of all the paint jobs I have done 2 that have won Best of Show and recieved a ton complements were both done with the Createx paints. Also, depending on where you paint, if you don't have good ventilation the non-toxic AutoAir paints are ideal. I was told by the company that the catalysts and bonding agents weren't necessary unless they were used as the first coat of paint. I always used them for everything anyway to be safe. Make sure you heat set the paints with a blow dryer or heat gun. I hope this helps. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Be careful. The AutoAir paints are water based but they are still toxic. Probably not as bad as urethanes but you still want to wear a mask and use good ventilation.

"Urathanes they chemically fuse with your clear coats whereas the water based paints don't"

Auto air bonds with the primer when you heat it, it also absorbs the dust coat of clear to give a strong bond
