crossover flames

Excellent site thanks guys! This is

my first posting and was hoping I can get some info on crossover flames. I've never tryed them & don't want to stuff it up before I start!!

It's pretty easy to do.
Just layout your flames with Fineline as you normally would, and go ahead and make your overlaps. Then come back with an Xacto knife and trim out the tape in the overlap areas.
After you shoot the base you can back tape one of the flame licks and airbrush a shadow under it, or use pinstripe to differentiate the two crossing licks.
