dash painting

so i want to paint my 1994 chevy silverado dash it has the texture to it and im really not wanting to bondo or fiberglass it. i was think maby if i wet sanded it the got some think primer and primed it enough it would fill the texture? any ideas?

Yes you can. I've took a stiff bristle brush and sprayed the dash down with Simple Green to clean the pieces real good. Then came back with some 80 grit sand paper and roughed it up, then applied some high build polyester primer, let it dry a day or 2, sand & then layed the paint to them.

An Adhesion Promoter Shoul Be Used Or You Can By All Plastic Primer In A Spay Bomb.it Seals Off Moulding Oils From The Plastic From Coming Out And Causing The Paint To Peal Later On.
