Deep looking paintjobs

So what's the trick to making a paintjob look lik you can reach right htrough the paint?...a 3D look I guess

Mostly clear.I think you're talking about candy where you see the base pearl or metalic through the color.Candy is just cleared down color so it becomes transparent.

if iam trying to get a deep look say like black ill apply the base let dry then take 2000 or 1500 and wet sand it then lightly dust it with black once more then clear let dry sand then clear again

How long do you have to wait until you can sand your base in say 70 degrees?And whats the longest you can leave your sanded base before you clear it?Thanks

USUALY 1 HR I THINK THAT MOST BASE HAVE A WINDOW OF 24HRS TO CLEAR
