Do I need to clear?

I sprayed on the black basecoat and had to go out on a call. I figured I would clear it tomorrow. Now it looks like I might have to go out of town tomorrow. Is it ok to leave the basecoat without clear on it or should I find some way to put at least one coat of clear on it. Damn interuptions.

Scuff it up with a scotchbrite pad and you'll be ok --- Bones!~

Thanks again Bones. Had me worried leaving it like that. You would think people would leave me alone. Don't they know I have a bike to paint.

Use a grey Scotchbrite with water and do it lightly,all you need is fine scratches for the cler to grab.If oyu feel nervous scuff it down and blow 1 more coat of base over it before clearing.Up there you should be good for at least a 24 hr open window from the temps I've seen lately on the news.
