Whew,I was gonna say it's been years since I was a 2 timer
2 toning is easy.After your sealer dries lay down the color that's easiest to tape off,preferably the lighter color.You can spray the whole thing in that color but I prefer to color the area and lightly scuff the overspray if necessary after it's taped off.Then spray the rest,untape and clear it all.

ima paint my car a candy purple im thinking about a pink two tone ;x even though i dont like pink and purple... but so i just spray the pink over the sealer or am i mixed up . ;(
There's a few ways to do it.Since you're laying down candy I think I'd spray the base for the candy first,then tape it off and put down the pink (it isn't candy too right?),then unmask and tape off the pink to candy the rest.You can shoot the pink first but then when you base and candy the rest you'll end up with a pretty serious edge,where the first way you're edge will be minimal and won't take so much clear to lose the edge if you're going to sand and buff it flat.Now, if the pink will be candy you'll have to base the whole car,mask off for the first color then untape and tape the first color off at that line to lay down the second.Any overspray or mistapes when 2toning with candy will be locked in under the candy and be visible.

damn that seems too simple.. you are talkin bout the two tone where lets say i paint it candy purple on the car, then two tone it with pink, Im tring to get it to where when the sun shines on the car would reflect pink/with no sun or reflection would be candy purple... (base color is candy purple) if im mixed up. and im talkin bout something else please tell me lol thanks
Ah,that's different.You're looking for a flip flop or color shift.2 tone is just like the factory vehicles where there are 2 different colors usually broken by a stripe.To get the effect of being pink in the sun and purple in the shade could be a little hard.Scott or Ezrider would be better at recomendations on this.I think you would want a pink candy over a purple pearl or metalic base but not sure how it would come out.
