Drawing Flames

Can i draw my flames on the base coat, with a pencil then tape to the out side of the line? Or do you recomend some thing else.

its not recomended, you might stain the paint only to have it blead through. you can draw it out on masking paper then use a pounce wheel to preforate your lay out then place your lay out on the object being painted, use blue carpenters chalk in a pounce bag and pounce your design with the chalk. works great for duplicating your lay out from one side to another. the blue chalk washes off with water and dose not stain. i like to lay out one side with fine line tape then duplicate and transfure the art work the opposite side using the above method

What ever works better for you. i usally tape to the out side of the dotted line left by the chalk, just make sure you wipe the job down before you start shooting your design. good luck
